In the attract mode title sequence, Bubblun appears in front of a closed red curtain (which will turn blue if the 'Game Mode Select' code is entered) announcing, 'Ladies and Gentlemen, this is. It could even be called 'Bubble Bobble V', since a cartridge for the NES/Famicom exists called 'Bubble Bobble 2'.

Each of the four dinosaurs possess different gameplay attributes, which are as follows :īubble Bobble II's graphics are, inevitably, a vast improvement over the original game with lush, colourfully rendered backgrounds and detailed, smoothly animated sprites doing full justice to Bubble Bobble's legendary characters.

In addition to Bubble Bobble's original heroes, Bub and Bob, two new selectable female characters have been added, called Kululun and Cororon. These boss screens are part of a new 'branching level' structure once a boss is defeated, players chose to enter one of two doors to determine what level set they tackle next. Other gameplay changes include Boss encounters that occur every five to ten levels. As well as new bonuses, weapons, enemies and characters, players can now create 'Multiple Bubbles' if the player holds the button down for a few seconds before releasing, up to three bubbles are produced at once. While Bubble Bobble II plays identically to its predecessor, several new changes and additions have been made to breathe new life into the classic gameplay. 봉인의 것과 그 더한다-등응구는, 4명을 버블 드래곤의 모습으로 변신시켜 버려, 책안의 세계에 감금해 버렸습니다.īubble Bobble II is the first direct sequel to Taito's 1986 platform classic, "Bubble Bobble" ('Rainbow Islands' was the first official sequel, but played very differently) in which one or two players take on the role of the infamous bubble-blowing dinosaurs who must once again fight their way through a large number of single-screen platform-based levels, trapping monsters with their bubbles before bursting them to destroy the trapped enemies.

If you wish to use the latest OFFICIAL MAME build which you can download here If you want you can use this lovely 1-game-MAME which runs only Lost Cave, thanks to Lost Cave kind friend Tormod. Thanks to Mamesick, from MAMEUIFX version 148, Lost Cave v1.1 is supported: You’ll see the voice “Bubble Bobble Lost Cave” in the UI menu! Our recommended first choice is MAMEUIFX because it supports Bubble Bobble Lost Cave natively. It’s the newly created BubbleĨ- Put it in your ROM Folder and play it with your favourite MAME Build, but… Please check the ApplyPatch.log textfile.ħ- a BUBLCAVE.zip has appeared in the folder. Just copy it, as it is, in a folder of your choice.ģ- In the same folder of your choice, put the ApplyPatch.exe AND the bublcave_patch.zip here enclosed Don’t unzip it bublcave_patch.zip.Ĥ- In thie folder you should now have these three files:Ħ- DONE! Or at least, it should. This is the patchfile for the 1.1 version of Bubble Bobble Lost Cave.ġ- Look for the bublbobl.zip file in the ROMs subfolder of your arcade emulator.Ģ- Don’t unzip it. Please read the readme.txt file for full info, or email us. The additional bootleg files are necessary only if you want to convert a real Bobble Bobble / Super Bobble Bobble bootleg board into a Bubble Bobble Lost Cave one. Note: if you want to play the game with an emulator, all you really need is the bublcave.zip file. Greater contributors are even acknowledged in the end credits of the “Super” Mode! It *should* now be possible to complete it with one credit. The game has been carefully rebalanced, based on one year of user feedback. Forget the crappy bootleg behavior: Lost Cave works on bootleg boards just like on the originals. The game can now run also on most bootleg “Bobble Bobble” PCBs (or on emulated bootleg clones, should you want to do it). The game should have much less slowdowns now (ie it should slow down only where the original Bubble Bobble slows down!)
